How Does It Work?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It sounds almost too simple to be true, but reading regularly with your children during their preschool years, you are giving them the biggest boost towards a successful education they will ever get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library can help your child love to read just by having print books at home, reading yourself, and setting aside time daily for your children to read. Every child will have books of their very own, at no cost to you, thanks to the Priest River Community Foundation and Dolly Parton. Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child’s name directly to your home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your child can look forward to new and exciting reading adventures from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library until they turn 5 years old as long as you live within a covered geographic area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a free gift to your child! All you have to do is read often to inspire a lifelong love of reading!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is Eligible?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Children under the age of five in the West Bonner County School District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Do I Sign Up?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Visit the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library<\/a> page to register for the program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What Are My Responsibilities?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Be a resident of the West Bonner County School District.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Submit an official registration from, completely filled out by the authorized adult.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Notify Priest River Community Foundation any time your address changes. Books are mailed to the address listed on the account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Read with your child and have fun!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    When Will I Receive Books?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Eight to ten weeks after your registration form has been received, books will begin arriving at your home and will continue until your child turns five or you move out of the covered area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How Can I Help?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Do you know a preschool child in the West Bonner County School District who is not receiving Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library? Encourage them to go online and enroll. If you, or someone you know, would like to donate funds to support this program donations can be sent to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Community Bookshelf<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

    The community bookshelf was started in 2018. The goal of the community bookshelf project was to provide books for children so that they can build their home libraries. The bookshelves were made by the high school shop class using supplies donated by Albeni Falls Building Supply and painted by the high school art classes. Today you can find these bookshelves at the following local businesses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Book Fair<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Foundation pays for every K-6 child in the district to get a book at the annual book fair.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Christmas on Main<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Foundation purchases books to give away to all kids who come to the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
